LaKisha Jones a 27-year-old bank teller who performed "Think" by etha Franklin, and is from Flint, Michigan. Viewers were first introduced to Jones during the "Best of the Rest" segment aired after the city auditions were over. After the audition, LaKisha celebrated with her family and cried tears of happiness with her daughter. She is also the runner up of the Houston show, KPRC Local 2 Gimme the Mike, in 2005. She listed Ft. Meade, MD., on her application, also has a Houston following.
